Earlier ventures

I started selling at eighteen. A web agency, built while I was still at school: websites and marketing for small businesses, run from a laptop, making about $15,000 a month at its peak.

At twenty-one, an ad agency, over $4,000 a month. It went bankrupt within a year. At twenty-three, a first technology startup. It went bankrupt too, and at twenty-four I took two full-time jobs to clear the debt it left.

In between, and until 2020, I worked on other people's products as a marketing consultant. Krisp, when it had ten employees: the launch took a Golden Kitty on Product Hunt in 2018, and monthly active users grew 160 per cent in a quarter. Cryptology in Singapore, where daily trading volume went from $100,000 to $2.8 million. inKin, Artec 3D, a handful of others. adidas from 2014 to 2016, and Google from 2020.
